Taiwan shares soar over 100 points ahead of TSMC conference

Taiwan shares moved sharply higher, gaining more than 100 points in the Thursday morning session ahead of an investor conference scheduled by contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) for later in the day, dealers said.
