Taiwan takes action against Philippines in diplomatic row

President Ma Ying-jeou has decided to follow through on threats to take punitive action against the Philippines because Manila's response over a shooting death of a Taiwanese fisherman was inadequate, Presidential Office spokeswoman Garfie Li said Wednesday.
