New winged bean variety

A new winged bean variety named "Taitung No. 2" (left) is displayed with "Taitung No. 1" at a Council of Agriculture news conference in Taipei on Wednesday. "Taitung No. 2" has a bean pod slightly longer than a sweet pea pod, and yields higher than "Taitung No. 1," according to the Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, which spent eight years developing the new variety.
