Electricity supply, geopolitics biggest challenges for TSMC: Researcher

Access to sufficient electricity and geopolitics are the biggest challenges facing Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) in Taiwan over the next few years, a researcher said Thursday after the chipmaker held a ceremony to mark the beginning of mass production of chips using its advanced 3 nanometer processes at the company's Fab 18 in southern Taiwan.
