Taiwan shares soar to close above 10,700 points

Shares in Taiwan moved sharply higher Wednesday as investors scrambled to pick up high tech stocks, which generally stayed in the doldrums a day earlier as many countries were beginning to remove lockdowns to reopen their businesses amid signs of an easing of the COVID-19 coronovirus spread, dealers said.
