A 28-year-old farmer has been lauded as a success among those attending agriculture classes (農業大學堂) sponsored by the Taichung City government, since the former employee of a high-tech firm at the Hsinchu Science-based Park has earned his first NT$1 million (about US$30,000) from his persimmon farm this year.
