Single mother Hsu Hsiu-mei (徐秀美) is pictured with some of her paintings at a solo exhibition in Pingtung County on Friday. Hsu took up painting to heal the wounds of a divorce, and she hopes to use her works to encourage single parents to overcome their pain. The exhibition runs through June 14. CNA photo May 27, 2016
