Newly formed tropical storm unlikely to directly affect Taiwan: CWB

A tropical storm that formed near Okinawa on Wednesday morning is not expected to directly affect Taiwan but could bring sporadic showers to the northeastern part of the country, according to Central Weather Bureau forecaster Yen Tseng-hsi (顏增璽).
