Northern, eastern Taiwan to be drenched in heavy or torrential rain

The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) issued a heavy to torrential rain advisory for five cities and counties in northern and eastern Taiwan Thursday due to strengthening northeasterly winds and the peripheral effects of a tropical depression east of the Philippines.
