Taipower aims to restore 97% of electricity supply by end-Saturday

Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower,台電), the state-owned electricity supplier, said Saturday that it will continue efforts to fix transmission lines damaged by Typhoon Meranti, aiming to restore 97 percent of the power supply for the households affected by the storm by the end of the day.
