Hung Hsiu-chu to resign as KMT chair by end of June

Opposition Kuomintang (KMT) Chairwoman Hung Hsiu-chu (洪秀柱) announced Wednesday that she will resign as head of the party by the end of June to prepare for the handover to her successor, former Vice President Wu Den-yih (吳敦義).
