Taiwan shares plunge over 100 points, led by TSMC

Shares in Taiwan moved sharply lower by more than 100 points Thursday, with contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) leading the heavy losses at a time when investors rushed to lock in recent significant gains made by the stock, dealers said.
