HTC shares boosted by renewed VR hopes, bargain hunting

Shares of Taiwan-based smartphone brand HTC Corp. (宏達電) got a boost Tuesday from renewed hopes for its virtual reality business after the company threw an event in Shanghai to demonstrate its efforts to cultivate VR startups, dealers said.
