Shares of Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC Corp. (宏達電) staged a rebound Wednesday morning as investors have embraced high hopes that the loss-making company will find an alternative sales source in booming India to offset the impact from escalating competition in other markets in the world, dealers said.
