Migrant workers want freedom to change jobs

More than 400 migrant workers took to the streets of Taipei on Jan. 16, calling for the right to freely change employers in Taiwan. They called on Taiwan's government to abolish Paragraph 4, Article 53 of the Employment Service Act, which prohibits them from changing jobs in Taiwan, except in extreme circumstances.
