Taiwan's cat cafes a popular trend

For people who cannot devote time and space for a pet, one way to enjoy the company of cats and dogs is to hang out at cafes featuring the furry animals – a trend that has become popular in Taiwan, as well as other cities in world. Though these businessescan be found from Japan to Germany, the first-ever cat café in the world is believed to have started in Taiwan in 1998. The owner Tracy Chang of Taipei's Cat Flower Garden tells us how she came up with the idea and why her café continues to attract many customersafter more than two decades in business. The café, now called Caféand Cats, is located in Shilin District, 1F, No. 129 Fuhua Rd. just across the street from the ZhishanMRT Station.
