Taipei, Oct. 9 (CNA) "Had I Not Seen the Sun" (如果我不曾見過太陽), a coming-of-age mystery romance, won best series at South Korea's 2026 Seoul International Drama Awards on Thursday.
The show's producer, Phoebe Ma (麻怡婷), accepted the award on behalf of the production at Thursday's ceremony.
"Telling this story was difficult," Ma said. "There were moments when I doubted my strength to keep going. But I never doubted the story itself."
Ma went on to thank the cast and crew of the show for making the win possible.
Released in two parts on Netflix at the end of 2025, the 20-episode drama starred Tseng Jing-hua (曾敬驊) and Alice Ko (柯佳嬿).
The series has been nominated for six awards at Taiwan's 61st Golden Bell Awards on Oct. 24, including best actor and actress.
In June this year, Tseng won best actor at South Korea's Global OTT Awards for his performance in "Had I Not Seen the Sun."
The show has also been nominated in numerous categories at two other upcoming award shows: November's Asian Television Awards in Ho Chi Minh City, and December's Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore.
