Taipei, Sept. 16 (CNA) Taiwanese weightlifter Lo Ying-yuan (羅楹湲) won two golds in the women's 87-kilogram category at the World Weightlifting Championships in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday.
Lo won the two golds in the snatch with 112 kg and the combined weight with 245 kg.
In the clean and jerk, she succeeded in lifting 128 kg but failed in her first attempt to lift 133 kg. On her second attempt, she succeeded, putting her fifth, while Solfrid Koanda of Norway took gold with 156 kg.
Lo is the third Taiwanese athlete to win a medal at this year's championships, alongside weightlifters Chen Guan-ling (陳冠伶) and Kuo Hsing-chun (郭婞淳).
Lo also broke the national record for the women's 87-kg category in snatch (110 kg) and combined weight (243 kg) that she set last year.
Earlier in May, Lo won two gold and one silver medal in the women's 87-kg category at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Jinju, South Korea.
The weightlifting competition concludes Sunday.
