Taipei, June 18 (CNA) The Tourism Administration said Wednesday it had terminated its contracts with a Vietnamese beauty pageant queen immediately upon learning she faced fraud charges in April.

Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên, who won Miss Vietnam in 2018 and Miss Grand International in 2021, was invited to serve as a tourism ambassador for the Vietnamese market by the administration in 2024.

Accused of promoting a counterfeit fiber supplement, Nguyễn was fined by Vietnamese authorities in April 2025 and subsequently arrested for consumer fraud in May.
