The chairman of Taiwan's main opposition Kuomintang (KMT) Eric Chu (朱立倫), who is on an 11-day trip to the United States, held meetings with a U.S. National Security Council (NSC) official and several lawmakers on Tuesday to discuss issues regarding Taiwan's security and national defense.
