Taiwan needs to catch up in ASEAN: Southbound Policy Office chief

Taipei, May 17 (CNA) James Huang (黃志芳), a former foreign minister who has been named as the head of the New Southbound Policy Office, said Tuesday that if Taiwan does not quickly expand its influence in Southeast Asia, it will lose its edge in the region.
