7-Eleven announces five NT$10 million invoice prize winners

Taipei, Sept. 29 (CNA) Five customers who made purchases at 7-Eleven stores across Taiwan won the top NT$10 million (US$318,123) special prize in the July-August uniform invoice lottery, including one who spent just NT$27 on photocopying, the convenience store chain said Tuesday.

According to 7-Eleven operator President Chain Store Corp., the five special prize winners made their purchases at stores in Taoyuan, Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung.

The five winning purchases included NT$29 spent on snacks at a store in Taoyuan's Zhongli District, NT$27 on photocopying at a store in Taipei's Zhongzheng District, NT$139 on CITY CAFE coffee and daily necessities at a store in Taipei's Xinyi District.

The others included NT$100 spent on household items at a store in Taichung's Wuqi District, and NT$33 on ready-to-eat food at a store in Kaohsiung's Fengshan District.

The chain said its stores also produced two winners of the NT$2 million grand prize. One customer spent NT$149 on daily necessities and ice cream at a store in Taipei's Neihu District, while another was NT$10 for photocopying services at a store in Taipei's Songshan District.

The four winners of the NT$1 million prize exclusive to cloud invoices made purchases at stores in Keelung, Taoyuan, New Taipei and Kaohsiung.

The winning purchases were NT$39 on snacks at a store in Keelung's Qidu District, NT$213 on frozen food, snacks, drinks and shopping bags at a store in Taoyuan's Zhongli District, NT$58 on ready-to-eat food at a store in New Taipei's Banqiao District, and NT$189 on daily necessities at a store in Kaohsiung's Daliao District.

The Ministry of Finance announced the winning numbers for the July-August uniform invoice lottery on Sept. 25.

The NT$10 million special prize number is 89996565, the NT$2 million grand prize number is 91098182, while the three first-prize numbers, each worth NT$200,000, are 54348835, 44991397, and 06595111.

The ministry said the winners can claim their prizes from Oct. 6 to Jan. 5, 2027.

The uniform invoice lottery is held every two months and designed to encourage consumers to request receipts and curb tax evasion.
