Protesters rally in Taipei against child abuse

Around 1,100 people attended a rally in Taipei on Saturday to protest against child abuse and demand systemic reforms to better protect children’s rights in Taiwan. Many of them joined the protest after learning about the tragic death of a one-year-old boy last December as a result of abuse by his foster carer. Some of the protesters, including a teacher and a student, spoke with CNA, sharing their thoughts on the issue and what can be done to improve the situation.
