Tamsui fort

Fort San Domingo, first built by the Spanish in 1629 and rebuilt by the Dutch in 1644, in New Taipei's Tamsui District is seen in this undated photo. The Tamsui Historical Museum that manages the historic site and several others reminded the public on Tuesday that an NT$80 (US$2.47) entry charge will be introduced for three of the sites, including the fort that was once used as the British consulate, from July 1.
