Hong Kong bans eggs from Taiwan in wake of avian flu detection

Hong Kong is banning eggs from Taiwan, effective immediately, following the recent discovery of a new H5N2 avian influenza strain and the H5N8 flu virus at goose and duck farms in southern Taiwan, Hong Kong authorities announced Monday.
