DPP will not renounce Taiping Island sovereignty: chairwoman

Opposition Democratic Progressive Party Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) said in Tainan Tuesday that the party will not give up Taiwan's claims of sovereignty over Taiping Island, located in the Spratly Islands (南沙群島) in the South China Sea.
