Soldiers rappel from a Black Hawk chopper to throw rare first pitch

A rare ceremonial first pitch took place at Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium on Friday, highlighted by army soldiers rappelling from a Black Hawk helicopter that carried the words “TEAM TAIWAN” and “TEAM ARMY” on its fuselage. After receiving a custom-made ball delivered by a drone as part of the military-themed showcase, Yuan Ju-wei, commander of the Army Special Forces Command, threw the ceremonial pitch to Rakuten Monkeys star outfielder Chen Chen-wei before the game against Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions.
