Cold air mass leads to falling temperatures in northern Taiwan

The arrival of a cold air mass sent the mercury plunging in northern and northeastern Taiwan on Wednesday morning, and daytime highs are not expected to rise above 17 degrees Celsius, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
