3,500 ducks culled in Pingtung due to bird flu outbreak

Some 3,500 ducks on a farm in Pingtung County's Gaoshu (高樹) township were culled Saturday after a highly pathogenic strain of the avian influenza virus was detected on the farm, the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine said.
