Referendums, general elections essentially different: deputy interior minister

Taipei, Nov. 13 (CNA) Deputy Interior Minister Chen Tsung-yen (陳宗彥) said Saturday that referendums and general elections are different in essence and should not be lumped together, as he participated in a televised forum with an opposition lawmaker over the issue, ahead of a national referendum next month.
