Tsai picks former premier as running mate for 2020 re-election bid (update)

President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Sunday picked former Premier Lai Ching-te (賴清德) as her running mate for the 2020 presidential election.
