Taiwan's lawmakers maintained on Thursday that the country should not be "overly optimistic" about Taiwan-U.S. relations following the passing of the Taiwan Travel Act by the Senate on Wednesday, with some even suggesting that President Donald Trump signing the legislation could escalate tensions across the Taiwan Strait.
