KMT spokesman tenders resignation prior to election results

Taipei, Jan. 16 (CNA) Ruling Kuomintang spokesman Yang Wei-chung (楊偉中) announced on his Facebook page Saturday that he had tendered his resignation earlier that day, even before the results of the national elections were announced.

"After tomorrow, we will continue to work for Taiwan's well-being, such as freedom and equality," Yang said in his Facebook post.
