Factory activity in Taiwan expanded for the second straight month in January, with the purchasing managers index (PMI) rising 3.4 points to 53.5 percent, local think tank the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research said Monday. A reading above 50 indicates expansion. CNA graphic Feb. 2, 2015
