Taiwanese writer Chi Wei-jan (紀蔚然) has won a Maltese Falcon Award from the Maltese Falcon Society in Japan for his first novel "Private Eyes," a modern-day detective novel, making him the first Taiwanese to win the award, Taiwan's Ink Publishing Co. said Tuesday.
