The figures also showed that the labor force participation rate was 59.06 percent in March, down 0.01 percentage points from the previous month.

Pan Ning-hsin (潘寧馨), deputy director of the DGBAS census department, said the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has been stable in recent months, moving no higher than 3.73 percent since June 2018, with recent fluctuations all within 0.01-0.02 percentage points.

"The change was slight. The unemployment situation is considered stable," said Pan.
