TCC Group Chairman Koo Cheng-yun dies at 62
Taipei, Jan. 23 (CNA) TCC Group (台泥集團) Chairman Koo Cheng-Yun (辜成允) died of head injuries Monday, two days after tumbling down a flight of stairs at a Taipei hotel. He was 62.
The accident occurred Saturday night at the Regent Taipei, where Koo was attending a wedding banquet.
He died of head injuries at 6:20 a.m. Monday at Cheng Hsin General Hospital in Taipei, according to Taiwan Cement Corp. (TCC), the flagship subsidiary of TCC Group.
Koo was the second son of Koo Chen-fu (辜振甫), the late founding chairman of the semi-official Straits Exchange Foundation.
He had served as chairman and president of several major subsidiaries of TCC Group, including TCC, China Synthetic Rubber Corp. and Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corp.
