Legislative Speaker Su Jia-chyuan (蘇嘉全) handed over a donation of NT$24.45 million (US$774,286) to Japan on Tuesday in Tokyo, on behalf of the Taiwanese people, for use in the recovery efforts after the Kumamoto earthquake, which struck the Japanese island of Kyushu in April.
