Student leader says mass protest may be canceled if Ma shows goodwill

A leader of an ongoing student-led protest against a trade-in-services pact with China said late Friday that protesters may not stage a sit-in demonstration in front of the Presidential Office on Sunday as planned, if President Ma Ying-jeou responds with goodwill by that time.
