Hon Hai unit eyes electric car market, uses Vietnam base to cut costs

FIT Hon Teng Ltd., an electronic component subsidiary of Taiwan-based manufacturing giant Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., said Wednesday that it has set its sights on the electric car market, taking advantage of its production lines in Vietnam to cut operating costs.
