Disposable plastic cups to be restricted at Taipei stores from Dec. 1

Beverage shops around Taipei will begin restricting the use of single-use plastic cups in December, making the capital the first municipality in Taiwan to do so in response to international calls to reduce plastic waste, according to the city's Department of Environmental Protection.
