Heat alerts issued for most of Taiwan, highs to top 38 degrees Celsius

Heat alerts have been issued for most parts of Taiwan on Saturday, as temperatures are forecast to reach 38 degrees Celsius due to the continuing effects of a strong Pacific high-pressure system, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
