Packaged rice balls found safer for consumption than loose ones

Consumers are encouraged to buy pre-packaged glutinous rice balls instead of loose ones, due to food safety issues, the Taipei City government said Monday ahead of the Lantern Festival, when people traditionally eat glutinous rice balls in a sweet broth.
