Taiwan urged to streamline undersea cable permits

Taiwan needs to streamline the application process for new undersea cables to "encourage more investment," while also prioritizing the protection of critical underwater infrastructure against China's "gray zone" threats, the head of the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC) said Wednesday.
