Student bag search rules to be eased after New Taipei school stabbing

The government is planning to ease rules regulating how and when students' private belongings can be searched, following the recent stabbing death of a pupil at a New Taipei junior high school, Education Minister Pan Wen-chung (潘文忠) said Thursday.
