Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) during a virtual talk on Tuesday that Taiwan and Japan could collaborate on security issues such as information sharing as part of efforts to keep the Indo-Pacific region free and open, according to Taiwan's Presidential Office.
