U.S. reiterates commitment to Taiwan after exit from Afghanistan

The U.S. State Department has reaffirmed its "abiding" commitment to Taiwan, amid concerns that its withdrawal from Afghanistan, which led to the country's takeover by the Taliban, had damaged Washington's credibility overseas.
