An upcoming meeting between Lien Chan, an honorary chairman of Taiwan's ruling Kuomintang, and China's President Xi Jinping in Beijing next week, will be a non-governmental exchange, and Lien has not been assigned any mission by the government during the visit, Lien's spokesman Ting Yuan-chao said Friday.
