Taipei, July 31 (CNA) The Ministry of Culture (MOC) on Thursday gave a sneak peek of this year's Creative Expo Taiwan, which features exhibition zones centered on natural themes.
The event is scheduled for Aug. 2-11 at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park under the theme "Waterscapes."
The MOC preview indicated that there will be five zones, four of them inspired by aspects of nature such as mist, rivers, oceans, and an island. The fifth zone, named Daily Craft, will be dedicated to selling handcrafted items.
Visitors to the expo can also view documentaries, photography, illustrations, and artworks, including nature-themed art installations.

Some of the exhibits also highlight religion and folklore. One such display is centered on the sea goddess Mazu -- worshipped by many in Taiwan -- along with illustrations of ghosts and elves from Taiwanese Indigenous folklore.
Other attractions include a wide selection of agricultural products supplied by small farmers and Indigenous tribes, including fragrances, rice wine, oolong tea, brown rice, and plant-based lotions.
Meanwhile, the handcrafted items on sale will range from leather craft to pottery and woodwork.
From August 7 to 11, other merchandise will be on display and available for purchase in Hall 1 at Nangang International Exhibition Center as part of the expo, according to the MOC.
