Shares in Taiwan moved 1.72 percent higher Thursday on a technical rebound as buying was sparked by a strong showing on Wall Street overnight, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 4.98 percent, or 1,086.25 points, in its biggest-ever single-day point gain.
